Founder’s story

From childhood dream to fulfillment

Since our founder, Harold Madsen, was a child, he dreamed of a large waterfall in his yard. After many years as a software engineer, he took the plunge to start StonyBrookFalls.

Harold has loved his career as an engineer, but he’s also an artisan at heart. He’s a tenor soloist and has performed with renowned ensembles, including the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square. That same sense of artistry drives every StonyBrookFalls project: excellent craftsmanship joined to a deep love of natural beauty. That’s what we build for you.
